Our story

Named after the procession.

The janti is the moment a Nepali wedding becomes real: the groom's family arriving with music, colour and a little chaos. Our founder, Kabita Shrestha, ran her cousins' janti so well in 2014 that strangers started calling her. Ten years and four hundred weddings later, the name stuck.

We plan Brahmin, Chhetri, Newar, Gurung, Tamang, Rai and inter-caste weddings, and many where one family lives abroad. Every family is different, and we learn their way before we suggest ours.

Questions

What families ask us.

How early should we book?

For Mangsir and Magh saait dates, 8 to 12 months ahead. For Falgun and Baisakh, 4 to 6 months is usually fine. Holding a date is free for 7 days.

Do you find the saait date?

No, the family priest does. Our calendar shows sample dates so you can see how busy each season is, and we work around the date your priest gives.

Can you plan for families living abroad?

Yes, about a third of our couples do. We meet on video, share everything online, and handle the details on the ground.

How do payments work?

A third of the planning fee to confirm, a third two months before, and the rest after the wedding. Vendor costs are paid directly by you, with no hidden markup.

What if it rains?

Every outdoor plan has a tent or indoor backup booked in advance. We check the forecast daily in the last week.
